AND THE WINTERS CANNOT FADE HER

An injured polar bear in the frozen arctic circle.
The first woman on an antarctic expedition.
And two sisters, at 3am, trying to communicate;
where the width of a kitchen table can feel like the distance between the ends of the earth.

After discovering a scrapbook belonging to her sister, containing poetry, short stories, diary entries, and lyrics, Hannah delves into the words to try and find what traces of her sibling are hidden within.
Guided by the Southern lights, Joni Mitchell, and the distant roar of a polar bear, we follow Hannah on a journey between reality and fiction, to discover the truth about her sister, and what happened last winter.

Inspired by the idea of ecriture feminine from French feminist theorists, 'And The Winters Cannot Fade Her' explores sisterhood, creativity, liminality and loss.
