Half coming-of-age story, half political comment, Another Country follows the friendship of Judd and Bennett, two boys who bond over their status as outsiders in an elitist system.
It's the early 1930s, and in a public school not too unlike Eton or Harrow, Gascoigne House is in for a shock. Beginning with a shock suicide, what ensues is internal panic and disorder, blackmail, and an attempted crackdown on corruption and perversion within the house.
In these young boys we see glimpses of tyrants, martyrs, leaders, and spies (yes, actual spies)
