MEDIA OFFICER
If you are interested in becoming the Media Officer for QMTC next year, then please read through the description below from our current Media Officer (formerly this role fell under Secretary) to get a feel of whether this is the role for you. If you would like to apply for Media Officer then fill out the form below.
Please email to us at company@qmtc.co.uk a one page manifesto (this can be as creative as you want and potentially resembling an A4 poster) and, if you wish to, you may email us a video to accompany your application but it must be no longer than 2 minutes. The manifesto is compulsory but the video isn't.
Deadline: 12pm GMT on Friday the 19th of March!

2) Why you believe you are suited to this role
3) What you want to achieve within the committee
4) Why people should vote for you
Both manifesto and video can be as flashy or as formal as you would like but please be reminded that you will not be allowed to spend any money on campaigning. The voting will be done through this website and both your manifesto and video will be visible for voters to view.

Role Description
This role requires you to keep the online face of the theatre company up to date and present, which means regularly posting with information about current and coming events and doing your best to reply to all messages and queries sent your way. In this role you have the opportunity to be that first point of contact for people who'd like to get involved with the company and hopefully leave an impression that will make them want to stick around.

- Altering the 'What's Next' section of the Instagram and Twitter bios
- Sharing work from external companies that will benefit our members
- Making event pages on Facebook and sharing on Twitter and Instagram
- Updating the 'Slappin' Da Bass' Instagram story each month
- Replying to all messages on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
- Writing descriptions for events, and returning to these to add ticket and sign-up links
- Sharing audition pages and audition updates, and posts on show pagesl
- Sharing events and shows on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Instagram Stories
- Ensuring every show has a cast-and-crew photo to share
- Announcing chosen shows and casts after pitch nights and casting meetings
- Doing backstage callouts for shows
- Supporting alumni work when possible
Key skills
- Good spelling and grammar
- A good knowledge of social media and how best to use it
- Ability to engage with others
- Ability to advertise shows, events, workshops etc.
