EDINBURGH FRINGE PITCH APPLICATIONS
Pitch: At the Annual General Meeting (AGM) Wednesday 18th March 7PM
Dates at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival: 15th-30th August 2020
It's that time of year again! I know, we can't quite believe it either, but here we are. It's our Annual General Meeting coming up on the 18th March and you know what that means, it's time for Edinburgh Fringe Pitches. If you have an original story idea or a script ready to go, then get yourself involved and pitch! Things to keep in mind when pitching are how you are going to advertise your show on the Royal Mile and how you are going to utilise the space of the venue
THINGS TO NOTE ABOUT EDINBURGH FRINGE PITCHES
How long do I have to pitch?
Ten minutes. At least 5 minutes for your pitch and then people get a chance to ask you questions.
How many shows do you take up to the Edinburgh Fringe?
We take up four shows each year
Does my show have to be new writing?
The show has to be original whether that be an idea you intend to devise or a working script. It cannot be a published script or a show that has been put on at QMTC or anywhere else previously
How long should the show be?
Each show cannot exceed 45 minutes as it needs to fit within our allotted time given by the venue
How many people can I have in my cast?
Each show cannot take more than eight/nine people to the Fringe, this includes directors, backstage crew and actors
Is there a minimum cast size?
Each show must have a minimum of six people involved. This includes cast, directors and backstage crew. So for example, if a show only has one director, the cast size must be a minimum of five.
Can I pitch as part of a duo?
Of course, but remember that two directors will take up two slots out of your eight
What’s the Royal Mile?
A street in the centre of Edinburgh where shows advertise and hand out flyers. There’s a lot of competition so you have to think of unique ways to sell your show and catch the public’s attention
How much will this cost me?
£330 per person
What does the venue look like?
We’ve attached below an image of the venue and a link to their website

HOW DO I PITCH?
Fill in the form below telling us all about your show! You'll present a ten minute pitch to our members of the 18th March at 7PM and they will vote for their favourites. The shows with the most votes will be taken up to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival! If you would like you may also have a Power Point Presentation accompanying your pitch. We recommend doing so!
