SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL
400th anniversary special
12, 13 FeB 2016
pITCH NIGHT - 8PM, 4th December, RR2

View Images from Twelfth Night

It's time for one of our biggest and best challenges of the year - the Shakespeare Festival. This year, we have no idea how many shows we're going to put on or what kind they will be. All is going to depend on the kind of things that are pitched. There's no time limit, but bear in mind that Hamlet in its entirety is 4 hours long and that's not happening.

Aside from pitching a full show, you may also want to pitch:

- A collection of scenes (e.g. Shakespeare's Forests/Shakespeare's Lovers)
- A piece of performance art (e.g. Forced Entertainment's Full Works)
- A reimagined Shakespeare text (e.g. the work of Shakespeare Reworked)
Recommended time for something that isn't a full Shakespeare: 45-60 mins
Any submitted performance must be free of copyright

So, think creatively, think brilliant and think Shakespeare.
We look forward to your pitches!

How We Work
When you pitch a show, you will give a five-minute pitch at the pitch night (4th December) to the committee and other members. A vote is held, the results of which are taken into account whilst the committee decide what is put on. When deciding, we look at: cast size, running time, performance space, price (n/a for Shakespeare Fest), content and votes.
